30 years of Disneyland® Paris
2022 is a very special year to visit Disneyland® Paris, as the parks celebrate their 30th anniversary. If you have never been before, or even if you are a regular visitor, there is even more magic in store! Together with all the special festivities and displays there is always a new land to explore or ride to experience.
From careering along the Big Thunder Mountain railroad to scurrying across the kitchen floors of Paris in Ratatouille: The Adventure, there is more family fun to be had at Disneyland® Paris than you or your children could ever dream of!
Let the magic begin!

When did Disneyland® Paris open?
It was in April 1992 that Disneyland® Paris, then known as Euro Disney, first opened its gates. Around 10 million visitors are welcomed every year, making it the most popular tourist attraction in Europe, and the fourth most-visited theme park in the world.
Driving to Disneyland® Paris from Calais
Getting to Disneyland® Paris via LeShuttle couldn’t be easier. As Mary Poppins would say, it’s ‘practically perfect in every way’.
There is no need to even get out of your car at our Folkestone terminal, as check-in and passport control is fully drive-through. After your 35 minute crossing, you have a drive of just three hours 20 minutes on the A26 and A1 motorways (with tolls) to get to the theme parks. The Disney parks are situated around 20 miles east of Paris. Get some more tips on driving to Disneyland® Paris with YouTuber So Helena.
Disneyland® Paris 30th anniversary celebrations
Mickey and friends are marking the special birthday of Disneyland® Paris with a year of new shows, experiences and festivities. The Disney parks launched the celebrations on March 6 2022 and they will run throughout the year.

Celebrate with all your favourite characters!
Enjoy the festive aura
It’s always a treat walking around Disneyland® Paris, but this year something even more magical will be in the air. Let your family savour the unique atmosphere, with special music and decorations, as Disneyland Park is transformed into a vibrant wonderland.
Dazzling new outfits
Mickey and friends have been hard at work over the winter with their designers, comparing fabrics, having fittings and generally behaving like fully paid-up fashionistas. Donald was even seen at Paris Fashion Week (allegedly). They can’t wait to share their shiny new costumes with you in the daily parades and shows. Check out Minnie’s new pantsuit, designed by Stella McCartney!
The enchanting themed gardens
One of the first things you will see in Disneyland Park is the Gardens of Wonder – ten enchanting themed gardens in Central Plaza, with 30 unique sculptures of Disney Princesses and Disney villains that come to life in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Remember you can meet Mickey in person!
Spectacular Disney illuminations
As night falls, prepare to be amazed by the Disney illuminations lighting up Sleeping Beauty Castle. The ‘Disney D-light’ show includes video projections, illuminated water jets, lighting effects, mist, lasers and snatches of classic Disney songs, topped off with a stunning synchronised drone display and a jaw-dropping finale.
Celebrate with a joyful new show
If you have been to Disneyland® Paris before you will know that one of the highlights is the outdoor daytime show. In 2022 there will be a special 30th anniversary edition featuring all your favourite characters. It’s a chance for the whole family to dance to the music and wave at Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto in their fabulous new costumes!
Enjoy Disney’s iconic shows and parades

Health & safety measures at Disneyland® Paris
Disneyland® Paris is still doing everything it can to keep its visitors safe. Face coverings are no longer required in the parks except while travelling on collective transportation, such as hotel shuttle buses. Face masks remain recommended for experiences like the parades and Disney illuminations.
Hand sanitising stations are available at the entrance and exit of every attraction, shop, restaurant and theatre. Frequent anti-viral cleaning measures will continue to take place across the parks in addition to standard cleaning procedures.
