Koningshof Campsite, Rijnsburg

This parc is small but perfectly formed, with a pool complex and lake (well-stocked year-round for fishing enthusiasts). Surrounded by countryside, be sure to make use of the on-site bike hire. In spring, the world famous Keukenhof festival takes place in nearby Lisse, a flower festival that has to be seen to be believed. Amsterdam is less than an hours’ drive from the campsite via the A44 and A4, so you can easily take a trip into the exciting city too. From Calais it’s just under 4 hours’ drive to the campsite via the E40.

Duinrell Campsite, Wassenaar

You can reach Duinrell from Calais in just under 4 hours via the E40, taking you through Ghent and close to Rotterdam en route. At Duinrell Eurocamp there’s a lot to enjoy, including a free theme park. The parc is surrounded by tranquil forest for peaceful walks and Wassenaar beach is only 4km away. Amsterdam is just 40 minutes’ drive away for a taste of the city.
