It's a dog's life

Well-travelled Penny is one of our oldest pet passengers. She has completely filled up one PET passport and is now making a start on her second.

Whoever said 'it's a dog's life' and associated it with hardship must not have been a dog owner; from our experience, it couldn't be further from the truth!

Proving life is a pleasure is one of our oldest pet passengers, Penny.  An OAP, she is an extremely well-travelled pooch – having already filled up one PET passport, she is now making a start on her second!

Penny recently reached her 19th birthday, which is 133 in dog years, and accompanied her human companions for a jaunt to Normandy, to celebrate. We think she looks great - all that holidaying must keep her feeling young and fresh!

Penny is relaxing and enjoying a quiet pet-friendly holiday

Since 2006 Penny and her family have visited their favourite region in Normandy, no less than 12 times - and, it doesn't look like she'll be slowing down anytime soon. They recently spent all of March at their Normandy retreat - Penny's owners love nothing more than relaxing and enjoying a quiet pet-friendly holiday together with their much-loved pet.

Penny will be embarking on her next European adventure in a couple of weeks and we look forward to welcoming our most loyal pet passenger at our terminals and hearing all about the antics she gets up to on future trips.

Bon voyage Penny - and many more happy travels!

About the Author

I love travelling. France, Europe, the World! I’ve been to many countries around the World, but keep being drawn back to France. Just a quick trip under the Channel from our home in Folkestone, my family and I could easily spend every holiday there, from skiing, self catering gites and the odd daytrip or weekend break. I hope to share some of my stories and favourite places with our Eurotunnel Le Shuttle customers.
